Lookout Mountain checked every box we were looking for: private accommodations, beautiful views and pickleball courts right outside the door.This experience brings together modern mountain cabins, A-frame retreats and two covered, lighted courts. We’ll have the freedom to coach, play and head back onto the courts later without leaving the property.Lookout Mountain gives us plenty to enjoy beyond pickleball. The area is known for its mountain scenery, outdoor adventures and one of Chattanooga’s best-known attractions: Ruby Falls.It is private enough to feel like a true getaway, close enough to explore, and set up perfectly for a group of sixteen women.

No two women arrive with exactly the same goals. Some want to clean up their game, make better decisions and understand where they should be on the court. Others are ready for a few days away with women who love pickleball and travel as much as they do.Most will find a little of both.Here’s a glimpse of what your time on Lookout Mountain will look like.ARRIVAL DAYOnce you arrive and settle into your cabin, the rest of the day is yours to unpack, explore the property and meet the women joining you. We’ll gather as a group, go over the days ahead and get this mountain pickleball adventure started.PICKLEBALL BUILT AROUND THE GROUPOn scheduled court days, we’ll have up to four hours of combined coaching customized to the women attending.This isn’t a stand-in-line-and-wait-for-your-turn kind of clinic. We coach through live play and real-game situations, stopping the action when needed so you can see what happened, why it happened and what to do differently next time.We’ll work on strategy, positioning, partner movement, shot selection, court awareness and making smarter decisions under pressure.With sixteen participants, two coaches and two covered courts, there is room for individual feedback while still learning and playing as a group.MORE COURT TIME WHEN YOU WANT ITOur court time doesn’t end when coaching does.The two covered, lighted courts are available to our group throughout the stay. Play another game, work on something from the morning or head back out after dinner.The courts are right there. No loading paddles into a vehicle. No driving across town. No hunting for an open court.AFTERNOONS AND EVENINGS AT YOUR PACEAfter coaching, the rest of the day is yours.Relax at the property, enjoy the mountain views, explore Chattanooga, visit the area’s nearby attractions or make plans with a few of the women in the group.Some afternoons may turn into an adventure. Others may involve a porch, a good view and absolutely nowhere you need to be.RUBY FALLSOne of our group adventures will take us inside Lookout Mountain to Ruby Falls.We’ll descend 260 feet by glass-front elevator and follow a guided cavern trail to the underground waterfall hidden deep inside the mountain. Above ground, the scenic overlooks offer views across the Cumberland Plateau and Tennessee River.It is one of those places you need to see in person—and yes, we’re going.BEFORE YOU KNOW IT…Four nights will go quickly.You’ll head home having played plenty of pickleball, explored one of Chattanooga’s best-known attractions and spent a few very good days with women who understand why a trip built around pickleball is always a solid idea.
